Bob is general counsel and a principal at Summit. He has over 15 fifteen years of legal experience in corporate, lending, regulatory, international and other transactional matters. At Summit, Bob is responsible for managing the legal affairs for the organization, including regulatory and compliance matters, and plays a primary role in the structuring and closing of transactions across all business units. He has led or otherwise been involved in the documentation and closing of over 125 transactions with a gross value in excess of $1 billion. In addition, he works with many of Summit’s portfolio companies to ensure that the legal affairs and corporate governance needs of each company are being met.

Prior to joining Summit, Bob was in-house counsel to a specialty finance company in Denver, Colorado and prior to that, was an attorney in private practice.

Bob is a graduate of Washburn University where he earned his B.A. in Political Science and his law degree. He also has an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. Bob is a member of the American, Kansas and Colorado Bar Associations as well as the American Bankruptcy Institute. Bob and his wife live in Denver with their daughter and two dogs.
